THE Cumbria Farmer Network and Penrith & District Farmers Mart have joined forces for an event for those facing decisions about the new electronic identification of sheep system.
The event will be run as a drop-in day at Penrith Auction Mart on Tuesday, January 26 from 10am to 4pm.
Farmers will be able to speak to advisers, a range of different companies selling handling equipment, computer software, tag readers, tag manufacturers and specialists to find out about grant aid and new Livestock Movement forms.
Andrew Wright from the Mart has been involved with the EID trials in Scotland and will give presentations in the main ring on the regulations and their practical implementation.
