Biker killed in A66 crash

A MOTORCYCLIST has died and his passenger injured after a crash on the A66, near Appleby.
The accident happened at about 8.30pm yesterday outside Redlands Bank Farm when the bike was in collision with a tractor.
The male driver of the BMW motorbike died instantly while his injured female passenger was taken to Carlisle’s Cumberland Infirmary.
The driver of the tractor was uninjured.
