Entries open for Penrith triathlon

The fifth annual Penrith triathlon will be held over the Bank Holiday weekend next month.
Organised by Eden District Council, it involves a 400m swim in the pool at the town’s leisure centre, 22km bike ride to Great Salkeld and back, and then a 5km run over two laps of nearby fields.
Entries for the event close at 5pm on August 16. For more triathlon information go to www.eden.gov.uk or to enter, or call 01768 817817 or pick up entry forms from Penrith Town Hall, Mansion House, Arragon’s Cycle Centre, or Penrith Leisure Centre.
The triathlon takes place on August 26 from 10am to 3pm.
