108 cycle ride organised by David Law has raised £2281 for the Children's Ward in Carlisle Hospital. The cheque presentation took place on a sunny Thursday 12th November at Penrith Hospital.

Askham Craft Fair and Cafe
There were lots of people enjoying the craft fair in the village hall at the weekend, lots of interesting craft goods to buy then a chance to take a seat to enjoy a cup of tea with homemade cakes and scones to enjoy in the cafe.

A very busy weekend @ Rheged
The rainy weather brought big crowds to Rheged this weekend but many visitors to the centre struggled to find car parking spaces. One disappointed visitor said, "We tried for ages to get parked but in the end we gave up and drove to Carlisle."
