Overnight raids are linked

POLICE are hunting those responsible for a crime spree near Penrith in which sheds, vehicles and outhouses were targeted on the same night.
Officers are linking eight crimes – both thefts and failed raids – which were carried out overnight on Sunday in or around Great Salkeld, Kirkoswald and Langwathby.
These include:
The theft of an off-road vehicle from a building at the Eden Ostrich World wildlife attraction at Langwathby;
A raid on a shed in Great Salkeld in which tools worth £450 were stolen;
A thwarted attempt to steal a horse box from a property in Kirkoswald;
The theft of two quad bikes from Maidenhill, between Penrith and Lazonby. They were later abandoned;
A failed raid on stables near Great Salkeld in which nothing was stolen;
The theft of a trailer from Great Salkeld.
